Roxy and Dylan’s Wedding at Cottiers, Glasgow
There is something endlessly magical about a Glasgow wedding, especially when it brings together family, friends, and a whole lot of heart from across the globe. We were thrilled to capture the wedding day of Roxy and Dylan at the iconic Cottiers, one of our absolute favourite venues in the city.
Morning Preparations at The Grosvenor Hotel
The day kicked off with plenty of excitement and calm anticipation at The Grosvenor Hotel, where Roxy and Dylan got ready ahead of the ceremony. The morning buzz was all about family and finishing touches, with incredible hair and makeup styling making sure everyone felt their best.
A Truly Personal Ceremony at Cottiers
Roxy hails all the way from Australia, while Dylan is proudly Scottish. After moving back down under together—bringing along their two adorable children, a 5-year-old son and a 1-year-old daughter—coming back to Scotland for their wedding was a true homecoming celebration. Surrounded by roughly 80 guests (including about 10 energetic kids adding to the family-friendly fun), they exchanged vows in a deeply personal ceremony beautifully led by their wedding celebrant.
Speeches to Remember
The reception at Cottiers was filled with brilliant atmosphere, laughter, and high emotion. The speeches provided some of the most memorable moments of the day: Dylan’s mum touched everyone’s hearts by writing and reading a special poem, followed by a classic, wonderfully cheeky best man speech that had the entire room in stitches!
Ceilidh Night & Evening Magic
As the evening rolled in, Bass Rock Ceilidh hit the stage and packed the dance floor. There’s nothing quite like a lively Scottish ceilidh to get international guests and locals alike spinning and laughing together. Later in the evening, we stepped outside for a few quiet, cinematic portraits in the cool Glasgow air, capturing the newlyweds sharing a quiet moment under an umbrella with the warmly lit Cottiers glowing in the background.
